Hello, there reader. Nice to meet you! The name is Hughes, Jess Hughes. My favourite colour is every single one in the rainbow, except the horrible, blinding, luminous stuff that's called 'fashion'these days. I wear a different colour every day, just for fun. I am a total Sherlockian, and have been from the start, but have only just jumped on the Doctor Who crazy train. Don't ask who my Doctor is, as I only met him for the first time in the 50th anniversary. All three versions of him... I also own three cats and am in love with Benedict Cumberbatch, Matt Smith, and David Tennant. I LOVE reading, and try to do it every day. I also have an unhealthy habit of reading more fanfiction than watching TV (maybe not so unhealthy then) and you will often find me curled up on my bed writing, or reading with my favourite eighties music playing in the background. Or the Beatles...
Anyway all you need to know is that the name is Jess Hughes and the address is The Raven's Writing Desk. Have a nice day!
Nicknames/Alias: Jess, Jessie, and my fanfiction pen-name is TheChristmasSerialMurders, which I have been told to never ever change, because it's so cool.
Age: I know how old I am... Isn't that enough...? ;)
Location: At this blog address. And the lovely (haha) country of South Africa.
How long have you been writing? About a year now, though I have been
aware of my 'muse' all my life.
What got you into it? I almost hate to say it, but school. I had to do it for my English course, and didn't realise I had it in me until I received pretty good marks for my writing assignments...
What's your favourite fandom and why? Oooooh, tough one. I should say Sherlock, because I've supported it for the longest, but now I have found Doctor Who and so they have been sharing my time. The fact that Season 3 of Sherlock, disappointed me a lot has nothing to do with it of course...
What will you be contributing to this blog? I shall be reviewing TV shows like Castle, Bones, Star Trek, and Death In Paradise. I will also be doing some movie reviews, like The Hunger Games series and Beautiful Creatures. Not to mention some book reviews, and some side-by-side movie and their inspiring book comparisons.
So sit back, grab your bowl of fish fingers and custard, sit on the couch in 221B, relax and enjoy! Look out for more posts from me, but for now... 'Jess out!'
