All About Us

Oh Harry and Ed...you are an inspiration to all aspiring geeks; a true set of role models for our time! You remind us that when flood, fire, and famine prevail your best defense against the things that go bump in the night is an encyclopaedia of Tolkien references! Truly we should all kneel down and call you the Prime Example (of what not to do)!

It is our mission to create a safe place for fanboys and fangirls to come and hang out for a while. So many places on the Internet create a negative and toxic environment for people where everyone is afraid to have an opinion and yet everyone insists that their opinion is both valid and the only way.

Everyone writing for this blog is reviewing something because they love it and have something to say about it. We're not here to mock or slam simply for the sake of mocking or slamming. We wouldn't be taking our precious time to think about and write about these things if we hated them. Discussion of shipping is kept to a minimum, negativity is frowned on, and fandom is kept on the outskirts of the works.

This site has blossomed out from its origins and has turned into a community of fellow fans and friends. We've set out to make a refuge for others like us. A place where fans can come and discuss without fear of shipping wars, trolling, or insults. This is probably where we should put a warning in to any potential trolls: Don't take this as a challenge...this is not a feeding ground for you. If we see a comment that ventures into the realm of trolling, we will delete it and issue a warning. If the problem persists, you will be blocked and the door will hit you on the way out. Definition of trolling/online abuse includes...

  • Comments left for the sole purpose of starting an argument.
  • Spoiling a show for one of the writers. You will notice, as you read through our stuff, that some of the reviews are retrospective reviews and some are not. Some of us are reviewing things that aired a while ago and some of us are discovering a show for the first time. So please don't go in the comment section and spoil it for us? Or at least tag your spoilers if that comment simply MUST be said? As a general rule - if you're not sure that the author has seen the entire series or knows about the plot twist, then don't bring it up. No one likes having something ruined for them. We always tag our spoilers, so you should do the same.
  • Calling one of our writers any kind of derogatory name, even if meant as a 'compliment'. This goes for referring to other readers and fictional characters as well.
  • Insulting someone else's fandom. Now this doesn't include light-hearted ribbing about certain trends (and we reserve the right to draw the line as to what includes 'light-hearted' and 'offensive'), as we ourselves will poke fun at various different franchises from time to time, but we do ask that you use discretion and air on the side of caution even with that.
  • 'F- you' this and 'F-you' that. We don't care what sort of gutter you prefer to leave your mind and mouth in when you're at home (that's entirely your business) but check it at the door whenever you come here.
  • Pleading the 'First Amendment'. Uh...no. Just no. Does not apply for this sort of thing. If you can't come up with some more imaginative way to express yourself than utilizing what we've outlined above, then this is not the place for you. Our site, our rules, and that law was never put in place to protect jerks anyway.

This site was created to be a place for in-depth fan reviews of our beloved television shows and films to be created and shared and read and commented on. This is not a place for shipping wars (if you want that, go to Tumblr.) and this is not a place for hatred. This is a place to spam with comments (We LOVE comments!) and to relive fun episodes of television shows.

So come on in and we hope you find something you like! Feel free to comment, re-share, and discuss. We're all fans here!
