The Winchester Waltz (SPN)

Poem by: Clara Pond

(Cover by Emily Ecrivaine... AGAIN! Thanks, Emily.)

Round and round the brothers go,
One says yes, and one says no.
One must die while the other lives,
Unless the other their own life gives.

Their lives are a dance without end,
A new sacrifice around every bend.
They can't stay dead while they have each other,
Is their any love like that one has for their brother?

They both feel the other's blame,
Their mistakes are opposing, yet still the same.
As different as the night and day,
Together will the Winchesters stay.

When one bleeds, the other cries,
When one is hurting, the other lies.
Love is a strength, but also a curse,
It makes you weak, your logic worse.

But though they are each other's Kryptonite,
They'll never willingly leave this fight.
Family by nature, and friends by choice,
They will never silence their combined voice.

Defying those who try to poison their hearts,
These boys know how to use their smarts.
They won't fall for anyone's foolish tricks,
And through all their troubles, their affection sticks.

When one is cursed, the other is, too,
When one loses faith, the other knows what to do.
More faithful than angels, with a creed all their own,
They would share even the mightiest throne.

"Look out for my brother," is what they think,
"Don't let them consume evil's drink.
Let me be strong enough to see the date
When we finally defy our so-called Fate."

One chosen for Hell, the other for Heaven,
Their loyalty's great, whether age 23 or 7.
If anyone can break a prophecy,
My bet on the Winchesters would be.

When one falls, the other trips,
When one smiles, the other skips.
More loving than words, tied by their past,
I do believe these brothers will last.

Round and round the brothers go,
One says yes, and one says no.
One must die while the other lives,
Unless the other their own life gives.
