As you might have heard, I've recently joined the Supernatural fandom. This is a poem I wrote to deal with the feels I received at the end of Season 4. If you haven't finished Season 4, be warned; spoilers ahead!
Poem by: Clara Pond
(The glorious Emily has, once again, made me an epic cover. Thanks, Emily!)
(Poem based on the Supernatural episode Lucifer Rising)
A bond of blood
Is the strongest there is,
But what if my blood
Is too different from his?
He's not fully human,
He'll never be the same.
Though Sam's my brother,
It's him that I blame.
My little Sammy
Couldn't hold the darkness off.
And at all my pleas,
He simply snorts and scoffs.
Says he's doing the right
While I'm treading the wrong.
How can angels be evil,
And demons good all along?
There is no justice,
No salvation or right.
Just this powerful doubt,
And the never-ending fight.
Though, to be honest,
The angels are acting weird.
I'd ask them more questions,
But they're by me feared.
I don't want to admit it,
But their powers are great.
The warriors of The Lord,
The creators of our Fate.
No, I need my facts straight -
Answer me, Castiel!
Tell me what's going on,
In the name of Heaven and Hell.
And now I see
How Sam and I were tricked.
The fates we were dealt
Aren't the ones we'd've picked.
There is no justice,
No salvation or right.
Just this powerful doubt,
And the never-ending fight.
Yet though I have found
The whole truth at last,
Even Cas cannot change it,
The die has been cast.
Oh, I've learned now how I
Can't trust anyone, anything.
Because they're all selfish,
And my destruction they'll bring.
I don't know if I can forgive
Sam for all the things he's done,
But I know I still love him,
And must, if this battle's to be won.
So here we stand,
About to meet Hell's King.
But while together, we'll live,
Through all the wrath he'll bring.
There is no justice,
No salvation or right.
Just this powerful doubt,
And the never-ending fight.
